Carol McGarah represents Public Strategies' clients before state agencies, legislatures and members of Congress on an array of legislative issues.
Prior to joining Public Strategies, McGarah worked in the Texas Senate for ten years, the last six as director of the Senate Natural Resources Committee. During this time, McGarah gained invaluable experience working with state and national leaders on issues ranging from property rights to environmental conservation.
McGarah helped write and pass groundbreaking pieces of legislation, including a state water management measure and the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan, which served as a model for similar legislation nationwide.
McGarah enjoys running, a sport that helps her keep up with her athletic young son.
